How to conjugate verbs in the past tense:
• Root I – only three letters
• When you want to make a verb in the past tense negative: ما before the verb
• How to build sentences with those verbs: 1. Verb 2. Subject 3. Object (in case of the inclusion of time, then before the verb)
• Note: the root of the verb (rules root I) stays the same for I, you, he, she etc., but the endings varies – can be applied to every verb of Root I.
• Most important verbs for Root I:
o to enter, to do, to know, to study, to write, to hit, to look, to come back, to go out, to leave, to request, to ask, to go, to live, to cook, to escape, to eat, to take
o to ride, to drink, to listen, to dress, to keep, to play, to work
